The region of the African Sahel has experienced a whole decade of suffering from a wave of terrorist activity, which included dangerous trends in terms of geographical spread and penetration into the societal structure and connections to the Sahel’s ten years of conflict. The current phenomenon of terrorism and the future of combating it in one of the most dangerous circles in Africa and the world as a whole.
